On Friday, August 24, 2012 Lisburn Community Fire Company lost one of its founding members, Harold A. Turbett, at the age of 82. Over the years, “Turby” served as president and fire chief on numerous occasions. He was always an active and prominent figure in the community and would volunteer his services in whatever ways he could. He remained active with the Fire Company up until the time of his death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 27 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 26. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lisburn Community Fire Company, 1800 Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.

We will all miss Turby’s knowledge and experience with Lisburn Community Fire Company. But mostly we will miss “Dad’s” smiling face.
