Get ready for a day of fun, food, and community spirit! On Saturday, October 4th from 10 AM to 2 PM, Lisburn Community Fire Company and Lower Allen Township are joining forces to celebrate the township’s 175th anniversary with an unforgettable Community Day. Whether you stay for an hour or camp out for the whole event, there’s something special planned for everyone at 1800 Main Street in Lisburn.
Bring the kids for our popular “Touch-A-Truck” experience where they can explore police cars, EMS vehicles, fire trucks, and public works equipment up close. We’ll have live demonstrations by our fire, EMS, and police teams, plus the Lower Allen Township Band will be performing throughout the day.
The first 250 residents through the gate will receive a free Lower Allen 175th anniversary commemorative bag, and we’ll have historical documents and pictures on display in our social hall.
Food lovers won’t be disappointed either!
Our small pavilion will be serving up delicious options. We’ll have a kettle corn vendor on site, and commemorative glasses will be available for purchase (cash only).
The kids can enjoy free activities and games while parents connect with township staff and Board of Commissioner members to learn about local services.
Don’t forget your lawn chairs and plan to make a day of it! Parking is completely free, and we’re honoring all veterans and first responders with a special ceremony at noon.
Rain date is October 11th, so we’re covered either way.
Come celebrate 175 years of service with your Lisburn Community Fire Company – we can’t wait to see you there!
